What Is Maple Madness?

Maple Madness is a County-wide event where local producers and hospitality businesses create maple-inspired tastings, menus, and experiences.

You can expect:

Sugar Bushes & Maple Producers

There’s nothing quite like experiencing maple season at the source. Local sugar bushes offer a chance to see how sap becomes syrup, sample fresh products, and enjoy other classic maple traditions.

Participating Sugar Bushes:

• The Campbells Orchards: Delicious maple themed baked goods, pancake breakfasts on weekends, learn all about this Canadian tradition with their Maple Walk & Talk on Sundays.
• Justins Maple Syrup: Sample maple syrup, stroll through the Maple woods, and grab a bite from Big Mike’s BBQ who will be on site throughout Maple Madness!
• Sugarbush Winery: Ever had a hotdog cooked in maple syrup? Here’s your chance! Plus hike the trail through the vineyard and sugarbush, and enjoy a glass of wine afterwards at this local winery.
• Waupoos Estates Winery: Pancake breakfasts, wagon rides to the sugarbush, fresh taffy made in snow, and of course a visit into the winery for a tasting or other maple treats.
• Walt’s Sugar Shack: A Maple Madness classic – enjoy a family friendly pancake & sausage breakfast, and purchase baked goods and more at the store. 

Maple at the Wineries

During Maple Madness, The County’s wine scene gets a seasonal twist. Many wineries feature maple pairings, special tasting flights, and indoor experiences that make March wine touring especially enjoyable.

• Rosehall Run Vineyards: Enjoy a tasty maple-inspired wine cocktail/mocktail paired with snacks to accompany your wine tasting!  
• Sandbanks Estate Winery: Serving J&W farms Vegan chipotle chili with black beans & lentils topped with vegan maple sour cream. Plus, book a maple-themed elevated bar tasting (a set flight of 3 wines with 3 small maple food pairings).
• Sugarbush Winery: See above!
• The Grange of Prince Edward: Maple themed everything – coffee, cocktails, baked goods and food menu items! 
• Three Dog Winery: They’ll be serving up a ‘Sugar Shack Snack’ – Chateau de Bourgogne soft cheese with a hot local maple syrup and pecan topper (yum!).
