In a year that has been shrouded by uncertainty, one thing remains the same – Prince Edward County is your go-to location for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

Self-Screening before coming

If you are ill, or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that you stay home. You can take a simple online self-assessment that will recommend your next steps.

Sign the digital guest book

Whether you’ve rented a property with us or made other arrangements, Hastings Prince Edward Health requests all visitors sign a Digital Guidebook.

This guidebook is completely private and confidential, all you need to share is your name, contact details, and the nature of your visit. By signing the book, you’ll help improve the effectiveness of contact tracing if COVID-19 is detected in the area. Hastings Prince Edward Health also says they’ll keep visitors connected with “the most current local information about the virus.”

Signing the Digital Guidebook is your first step to making your visit to Prince Edward County a safe one! You can sign the book here.

Limit gatherings

During your visit to The County, you’re still required to practice the precautions put in place to limit the spread of COVID-19. Right now, that includes limiting your gatherings.

Gatherings with people outside your immediate household must be limited to 10 (indoors) or 50 (outdoors) people or less. Please keep this in mind when you’re booking your property rental. Groups greater than 10 are not allowed at this time.

Wear a mask and practice physical distancing

All local businesses across Prince Edward County require visitors to wear a face covering. Please come prepared for your visit. If you’d like to purchase reusable masks during your visit, you can purchase Prince Edward County masks online through the Prince Edward County T-Shirt Company.

Remember that, even with a mask, visitors are asked to stay 2 meters apart from others.

What Sandbanks Vacations & Tours is Doing to Keep You Safe

Since opening 11 years ago, we’ve had high cleaning standards. Moving forward, we’ll continue to ensure we’re at the highest level of cleaning and disinfecting. We’ve updated our cleaning procedures to be in line with The Health & Safety Board of Ontario as well as the Municipality of Prince Edward County Accommodations Sector.

During your tour

If you’re touring with us, know that all tour vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between tours. Also, all vehicles are equipped with hand sanitizer and Lysol wipes for guide and guest use.

During your stay

If you’re renting a property with us, you can review a full list of our cleaning and disinfection procedures here. We recommend that all guests:

  • Shop at their hometown before coming to The County and come prepared with your own groceries
  • Bring games and books for a rainy day (most houses have temporarily stopped providing these items)
  • Bring your own toiletries (some homes may have single-use shampoo/conditioner provided but that won’t last a week)
  • Have sanitizer in your vehicle and/or purse so that you can be able to disinfect wherever you go

We look forward to seeing you in the county…

Together, we can make your next visit to The County enjoyable and safe for everyone. Please bear in mind that COVID-19 is a continually evolving situation, and as such the precautions are constantly being updated.
